Apartment Communities We Are Serving in Presently

Kelly lives in this complex in apartment 193. Drop by and say hi if you are around. We do Kids Clubs, Youth Groups, and Bible Studies/Discipleship Groups. We have a pantry of things you can’t get with food stamps, like toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, hygiene items, laundry soap, etc. It is for people in our complex that are struggling. People can visit the pantry once a month. We have movie nights or game nights at Kelly’s apartment at least weekly and in the summer, we bump up the activities. Kelly is always trying to get to know her neighbors more and more and find new ways to love them. We want to build community plus, give opportunities for people to learn more about Jesus.

Our ministry has been going on here for over 25 years. Randa Helou is one of our main leaders to contact if you need something. We have an essentials pantry that is open the third Saturday of the month between the hours of 11am and 1pm. If you need to visit the pantry, make an appointment with Randa at (503) 351-8510, and we would be more than happy to supply you with any needs you have. We have events for kids and starting a Bible Study at the Manager’s Apartment every Thursday night at 6:30 pm.

Any apartments around the Eichler Park Area is welcome to join on all the activities we do here. We do kids’ clubs, youth groups, Bible studies, and discipleship. During the summer, we are doing Park days, where we do face painting, balloon animals, puppet shows, games, snacks, and more! It is all free and everyone is welcome to join us at Eichler Park on Saturdays at 11am

Apartments around Electric Street and those inside Pioneer Mobile Park have kids’ clubs, discipleship groups, and a pantry available to residents. The essentials pantry is done every second Friday of the month between 10am and noon. You can call Kelly Nelson to reserve items.

Dusty’s Heart has partnered with Solid Rock Baptist Church in Happy Valley to reach people in SE Portland as well. We do kids clubs’ at Coach Light Manor, and Holly Tree Park. We have a Bible Study every Wednesday at 6:00pm at the church. Everyone is welcome to join us there. Please keep this church in prayer as they are starting up an Apartment Ministry. Pray for the people who are serving, and the people yet to be reached in complexes around Happy Valley.
